Posts have been few lately so Ill chip in one that's o.k. but not spectacular. Took good friend Jason Hyepock out for a trip. He's down from Kansas for a visit. Launched around 9:00 at Juniper West in my old Tracker. Under the bridge around to the rocks at Sherwood S. The rocky points yielded zip. Saw some boats across the lake along east shore of Big M. Ran over and found a large area of surfacing fish. We used small blade bait and it was one every cast. Only catch is that they were just short of being box size. Good fighters and Jason got a couple of good sandies in the mix. Lots of fun. Finished back in deeper water of the channel and found some big stacks of fish. Tried every thing we know about slabs and bladebaits, all to no avail. We have had terrible luck slabbing this summer and sure wishI had an explanation. Also seems the topwater has been nearlly all 10 inchers. Sure will be glad to see the gulls come back.

Bonehead is the brand name . they have them at Dave"s . exit 72 off hwy 75 . it's called something different now . the big Exxon station . Its just a slab painted silver with a red eye . they catch a lot of fish but wear out quick . the hooks and spilt rings are a little light . I up grade the rings and hooks when they start to fail
