Sorry for the delay...  Saturday was very busy.  Yesterday I had two dogs that had an encounter with a copperhead......

The tournament was good!  We had a couple of teams that couldn't fish due to mechanical difficulties

Big fish paid $50
First Place - $180
Second Place - $84
Third Place - $56

First place was Kyle Brooks.  A high school student who entered at the urging of one of his teachers.

Kyle had big fish that weighed in at 10.1 #
Kyle won the 5-fish bag with a weight of 13.56#

Second place was Randy Padgett.
Randy had a 5-fish bag of 13.1#.  He weighed in a big fish of 7#

Third place was Jeremy Purdy.
Jeremy had a 5-fish bag of 12.56#.  Jeremy had a big fish of 6.9#

We've succeeded in making this a fun, competitive event.  As you can see, the top three were within 1#.  That's awesome!!  Fun, competitive and everyone has a chance!!

The Casperson family (Paul, Amy, Jay and Shelby) did the usual SUPERB job hosting the event.

Thanks  to all who fished.  The fellowship was great.  It was pretty cool to see a couple of high school folks fishing instead of being at home playing video games!!

They fed us pulled pork, brisket, sausage, Amy's famous corn casserole, potato/cheese casserole, green beans, banana pudding, iced tea and lemonade.  Awesome food!

Many thanks to the Caspersons!!
By the way, the winners fished using crank baits..............
