Fished hard monday....deadstticking, slabbing,, cohos,, marked lots of fish,, no takers,,, found bait at 40to 45 ft at the mouth of Alberta Creek...got abot 50 and hoped they would be alive tues morning...lots of fog tues...went to newbery creek area where some freinds had supposedly killed em a few days before..found fish dropped nice theads in,,,,had one bite that scaled my shad,,,, felt small..my father got one bite and got it almost in,, it was a sand bass,,,,, ther were several othersboats there in the fog,, a Robelo,, a Falcon, a poontoon and a couple of bass boats,,,,not another bite all day anywhwere...took an old freind of mine my unused shad along with 50 more I caught comin in,,,87 total.
i decided tha what i was seeing were small and must have been sand bass,,, first time we have been skunked.....if I am remembering right,,,

It has been quick for sure.

The other day David and I launched at 9 a.m.  Had our overs by 9:30 a.m.  Fished another 4 hours and got a 17 and 19 (inches)  [smile]

For all intents and purposes, it was over by 9:30 a.m.

The catfish were still biting at 1:30.  [biggrin]
